Delete a voicemail

Genesys Cloud enables users to permanently delete individual voicemail messages from their voicemail inbox through a straightforward process. Users must possess specific permissions including Voicemail > Voicemail > Delete to perform this action, along with foundational permissions for receiving voicemails and accessing calls. The deletion process requires users to access their voicemail box, select the desired voicemail, click More, and then select Delete Voicemail. Multiple voicemails require individual deletion rather than batch operations. A critical limitation is that deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once executed. The system supports deletion of both individual and group voicemails, with group voicemail deletion requiring Voicemail > Group Voicemail > Delete permissions. Additional related permissions include Stream for listening to voicemails and Download for retrieving voicemail files.
