Preview an agentic virtual agent

After you , you can test the agent using the inbuilt preview widget.

The preview widget allows you to test the agent’s role and guidelines, connected data actions, knowledge configuration, start and exit behavior, and guardrails. Test and fine tune your agent to ensure quality and consistency before connecting it to Virtual Agent flows in Architect.

To preview an agent, follow these steps:

  1. Click Menu > Orchestration > AI Studio > Agentic Virtual Agents.
  2. (Optional) To search for a specific agent, start typing the name of the agent in the search box. As you type, the matching agents are shown.
  3. To open an AI agent, click the agent’s tile. The Agent profile view opens. The Preview widget is shown on the right pane.
  4. From the Language list, choose a language for the test interaction.
  5. From the Channel list, choose whether it is a digital or voice interaction.
  6. If you chose voice channel in the previous step, you must select the text-to-speech (TTS) engine and voice using the following steps:
    1. From the Engine list, choose the required TTS engine.
    2. From the Engine Voice list, choose the required TTS voice.
  7. Click Start to start testing the agent.
  8. (Optional) Click the Restart icon to the right of Preview to restart the chat anytime. When you restart the chat, the preview widget uses the latest agent configuration.

In addition to the preview widget, you can also test the guide in Architect after you connect the guide to a virtual agent flow. For more information about testing and troubleshooting the guide in Architect, see .
