Note: The following billing terms apply to the usage of Transcription Connector during Limited Availability (LA) and after General Availability (GA, date TBD):
  • No charges during LA: Genesys does not charge customers or partners for downloading, installing, or using the Transcription Connector for either testing or production use during the LA period.
  • Post GA usage: Genesys Cloud will begin billing for Transcription Connector usage upon GA. After GA, enrolled organizations will emit Transcription Connector events. Genesys Cloud will count these events toward usage under the per minute of streamed audio, at the .
  • No retroactive charges: Genesys will not retroactively charge customers or partners for consumption in minutes streamed, incurred during the LA period.

Use Transcription Connector to stream conversation audio to a third-party transcription service and then receive predefined transcription events in return. 

  • Genesys charges for each active portion of the Transcription Connector session. You can stream to a maximum of 10 Transcription Connector integrations per organization
  • Genesys charges for a single stream even if your organization has two or more active Transcription Connector integrations. Genesys Cloud uses only one audio stream for transcription at any given time.
  • If your organization has customer sentiment analysis or topic spotting feature enabled, Genesys charges for post-processing of third-party transcriptions. You must have an active WEM add-on license to use these features. When using Transcription Connector, you are charged under the feature-specific WEM allocation.
  • Genesys charges for the Transcription Connector session when transcription begins and stops charging when transcription ends.
  • Genesys does not bill customers during pauses during the voice transcription, customer-initiated pauses from the AudioHook server, or when the server is disabled.
  • Genesys charges conversations per each minute that Transcription Connector runs.
  • Genesys tracks actual usage and then rounds it to the nearest minute at the month end.
