Manage activity codes
AI-generated summary
Genesys Cloud enables users to manage activity codes through the Workforce Management system, with access controlled via specific permissions including "Workforce Management > Activity Code > Edit and Delete." Activity codes are configured through Admin > Workforce Management > Business Units > Configuration > Activity Codes, where column-based search and filter functionality facilitates code location and management.
Individual activity code parameters can be edited by selecting the code name and saving changes. Deletion operations support single or multiple code selection via checkboxes or the More menu, though default activity codes cannot be deleted and require confirmation prompts. The system includes an Update Style action that enables bulk styling changes across multiple activity codes simultaneously, allowing users to apply either system default colors or custom background and text color combinations.
Style modifications affect only visual appearance in supported Workforce Management scheduling experiences and take effect immediately without altering activity code configuration, category, work handling settings, adherence settings, or time settings. Custom styling options include background color selection with optional text color overrides, and a preview is available before saving changes. The Workforce Management > Activity Codes > Edit permission is required to perform bulk style updates, with all bulk operations and style updates requiring appropriate Activity Code permissions verified through administrator confirmation.
The system includes a feedback mechanism for users to evaluate article helpfulness and report content issues, with options to indicate whether articles answered questions or aided task completion. For detailed information on styling options and color customization, users can reference the Customize activity code colors documentation.
