Edit toll-free inbound restrictions

To restrict inbound calls on your toll-free numbers to certain countries or regions, set toll-free inbound restrictions. When you do, it is important to understand that setting restrictions on your toll-free numbers is not guaranteed. Genesys Cloud will publish your chosen restrictions in the North American Number Plan (NANP) registry. That means that only NANP carriers can see your restriction. Furthermore, it is up to the originating carrier to enforce the restriction. Unfortunately, not all carriers will enforce the restriction.

Notes:
  • NANP defines the US as only the 50 states. US territories are included in Caribbean routing.
  • To change the inbound restriction for a number, the number must have a status of either In Service or Port Pending. For more information, see Status indicators.
  1. Click Admin.
  2. Under Genesys Cloud Voice, click Number Management.
  3. Click Menu > Digital and Telephony > Telephony > Number Management.
  4. Select the check box next to the number you want to change.
    Note: You can select only one number at a time.
  5. Click Edit Toll-free Inbound Restrictions.
  6. From the Inbound Restrictions list, select the country or region from which you want to allow inbound calls.

  1. Click Save.
