Genesys CloudMedia Tier release notes

View a summary of the improvements and fixes in the latest update to cloud media control services for BYOC Cloud and Genesys Cloud Voice, and to hardware devices for BYOC Premises.

Note: Due to urgent fixes for security and stability, Genesys may push Edge updates and release Media Tier versions before a release note publishes.

Enhancements and fixes

  • Improved fax call reliability when calls connect across multiple environments.
  • Resolved an issue where AMD could fail when the AMD timeout was set to zero.
  • Improved video conference participant handling so newly added participants are not automatically selected as the current talker.
  • Improved handling of call group dial plan requests that could time out.
  • Improved VXML flow callback handling.
  • Improved handling of null audio TTS attributes.
  • Improved station handling reliability.
  • Improved retry behavior for IPC client errors.
  • Improved carrier message handling in LATAM.
  • Improved media client handling of context notifications.
  • Improved runtime reliability for JavaScript and VXML processing.
  • Improved speech analysis reliability.
  • Various minor stability and reliability improvements.

Cloud update availability

Updates for cloud media services occur between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM in every time zone, starting May 14, 2026.

Premises update availability

Updates for hardware devices are available on May 7, 2026. Administrators can choose to set a specific update schedule or perform a manual update.

  • Available for manual update in all regions starting May 7, 2026.
  • Auto-update enabled for all regions starting May 13, 2026.
  • Automatic updates roll out to customers over a 10-day period during their organization’s defined maintenance window.
