Configure the Genesys Cloud Edge Standard v2
To configure the Edge, complete these procedures in the following order:

| Create a trunk under BYOC Premises | Set up the connection to the service provider. |
Set up a phone trunk: | Set up a connection for the Genesys Cloud WebRTC phones.(Not required for SIP phones) Set up a connection for SIP phones, such as Polycom and AudioCodes. (Not required for WebRTC phones) |
| Configure a network interface for the Edge | Join an existing trunk to an Edge network interface. |
| Create a site under BYOC Premises | Determine how many sites you need and add them to the system. |
| Create an Edge group with a phone trunk | Configure a collection of Edges. |
| Add a new number plan (optional) | Provide localized routing instructions. |
| Create an outbound route (optional) | Modify or create outbound routes. |
| Configure 911 or other emergency numbers (optional) | Create emergency numbers. |
