In a future release, Genesys Cloud will let employees bid on complete schedule sets instead of bidding only on work plan constraints.
What changed
With schedule set bidding, administrators can create and manage bidding events that offer full schedules covering one to six weeks. Employees can review those schedule options, rank their preferences, and submit bids based on actual schedules that show shift start and end times, breaks, and meals. After the bid closes, Genesys Cloud allocates schedule sets based on employee ranking and administrator-defined allocation rules. Future schedules then follow the awarded schedule set until the next bid cycle.
This update also refreshes the existing bidding experience to support schedule-based bidding. Genesys Cloud will update parts of the current work plan bids experience so administrators and employees can work with both bid types more clearly in the same workflow. This includes bid type labels, bidding setup, schedule set review, employee ranking screens, and allocation views. Sentence case for the title and headings follows the Genesys UX writing guidance for titles and headings.
Why this is useful
This feature gives employees a clearer view of the schedules available to them before they bid. That helps them make more informed choices about when they want to work. It also gives administrators better control over how bidding events are configured and awarded, while reducing the manual work involved in reviewing and assigning schedules. This is useful for organizations that want a more transparent bidding process and more predictable schedule outcomes.
